Celestial Latitude measures the "up-and-down" position of a planet relative to the Ecliptic. It is entirely different from Earth's geographic latitudes.

Celestial Latitude uses the Ecliptic as its baseline measurement, which is similar but completely different from Declination which is measured from the Celestial Equator.
